KBC 4 Online Registration, Todays Questions  Game Entry Audition Logo on Sony Participation Phone Lines Contact Details Information 2010 Form

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan at the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati season 4NEW DELHI: The craze for 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' is still alive and wide - over five million people participated in the first phase of auditions of " KBC 4".
The registration process was opened Sep 1 by megastar and host Amitabh Bachchan on Sony Entertainment Television.
Already, 1,233 registrations have been shortlisted from auditions held in six cities - Lucknow, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai, said a Sony press statement.
The audition process is divided into two segments - classroom test followed by a personality test.
"'Kaun Banega Crorepati' is a show for the common man. A platform that gives each Indian the prospect of making it to the hot seat," Ajit Thakur, executive vice president and business head of Sony Entertainment Television, said.
"KBC audition is probably the biggest 'joint entrance exam' in India where successful registrants from across the country, from different socio-economic backgrounds will compete to get an opportunity of a lifetime - sit on the hot seat opposite India's iconic superstar, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and win a life changing amount," he added.
"KBC" is based on the British show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?".
The first season was launched on Star Plus in 2000 with Amitabh as the host. He returned with the second season in 2005, after which superstar Shah Rukh Khan took over the baton in 2007.
The fourth season is expected to go on air Oct 11, on Bachchan's birthday.

110 crore Hindustani: Kaun Banega Crorepati?
In the last 40 years of my career I have sat through meticulously written scripts, long hours of photo shoots to get the perfect lights and angle and rehearsed and practiced the way I want to deliver a dialogue. And just when I thought that I was getting jaded, bang comes in a reality show and I am pulled out of my comfort level with the camera because there is absolutely nothing that you can control or absolutely nothing that you can prepare yourself with when you are given the job of hosting a reality show.
Yes, Kaun Banega Crorepati is back and I am very excited to be back on the show after a long gap.
Recently, in the presence of the media we unveiled the changes we have this time. So meet Mr Ghadiyal Baboo - the not so gentle reminder for the contestants, warning them as every second passes by and nudging them to answer quick and correct, saying, "and now only 12 questions to win a crore", or "but there is still a chance to do more. Answer the 13th jackpot question and one stands the chance to win five crores".
We have new lifelines coming in too. So while the Phone A Friend and Ask The Audience remains, we also have the Ask The Expert. We will have a respected and well-known face coming in to the studio and advising the contestant when he is in doubt.
The 50:50 lifeline that we have been familiar with has gone. We now have what is called the Double Dip - or what I like to call the Double Dupki! When in doubt - the person on the hot seat can give two answers! I am certain this will be quite a life savior.
And yet even with all the changes in the rules that have come in, the essence and the warmth of the game in its entirety remains the same.
Being a public figure can sometimes be unnerving because there are expectations being built and your performance being judged every moment, nothing of which is in your control. The charm of KBC for me is it breaks all the in-between layers and the Chinese Whispers. I love talking to people on the hot seat. Their dreams of building a better future for their families, their hopes of doing something remarkable for their village and the simple dreams of being noticed in a country that sometimes has misplaced media attention. Sometimes I wish it wasn't a hot seat, or 'me versus you' situation where I sit against them and tell them they have failed. In reality, I just wish to be by their side and egg them on, perhaps like a school examination, even pass them notes with the right answer. But such is the nature of the show. And one must do what has to be done!
Also, I love that I talk to all of India. The people of this country have given me enough support to be in a place where I am today. And yet the similarity is that we have the same stories to tell. The India we grew up in has a language of its own - one that cannot be put to words but only what one needs to soak oneself in. A country that has grown up with braving the summer heat to play hours of gully cricket and the one where we stood in queues and booked cinema hall tickets weeks in advance and the one where everyone has an opinion on the politics of the country. I look forward to this season of KBC - talking to one person at a time and yet millions across homes.
One contestant on the hot seat and so many people across the nation cheering for him from the sidelines and rooting for him to win.
It is amazing to watch a contestant use their lifelines.
Every time there is a contestant, twitching thumbs, biting fingernails, unsure eyes almost certain of the answer, and yet wanting just a reassurance of what he thinks is right and he asks the audience, I see the magic come alive. He gets his answers and smirks. A smirk that only comes with the faith and belief in himself and others. It says so much about the human behavior. That given a chance and trusted, even with no one watching, people will do the right thing.
And the Phone A Friend. The comfort of jumping right into seeking help for the answers in the 30 second timeframe that only comes with familiarity of the voice on the other end.
The show is scheduled for launch tonight.
Right now I am on the other side. Nervous and unsure. What do I expect? What is expected of me? What do you think? Are you cheering for us and for the upcoming season and backing us to go ahead and have a smashing super hit success of a show? We have a bagful of surprises on the show. What are you looking forward to the most?
